LT Companion is a Chrome extension that enhances the LeetCode experience by providing AI-powered assistance through Google's Gemini API. This extension operates on LeetCode.com and uses a backend service to manage API keys securely.

Data Collection and Processing

Our extension collects and processes the following data:

• LeetCode Problem Data: When you use the extension on a LeetCode problem page, we temporarily process:
  • Problem title and description
  • Your code (only when you request analysis)
  • Test cases (only when you request generation)
• API Key: A Gemini API key is stored locally in your browser's storage for extension functionality
• Extension Settings: Your preferences for the extension are stored locally

What We Don't Collect

• Personally identifiable information (name, email, etc.)
• LeetCode account credentials
• Browsing history outside of LeetCode.com
• User activity data (clicks, keystrokes, etc.)
• Any data from other websites

Data Usage and Third-Party Services

The extension uses the following third-party services:

• Google Gemini API:
  • Processes your code and problem data to provide AI assistance
  • Data is sent directly from your browser to Google's servers
  • Subject to Google's privacy policy
• Backend Service (Vercel):
  • Hosts our API key management service
  • Does not store or process any user data
  • Only provides API keys to the extension

Data Storage and Security

• All data processing occurs in your browser
• API keys are stored securely in Chrome's storage
• No data is stored on our servers
• All API communications use HTTPS encryption

Data Sharing

We do not share your data with any third parties except as necessary for the extension's functionality:

• Google Gemini API (for AI assistance)
• Our backend service (for API key management only)

Your Rights

You can:

• Uninstall the extension at any time
• Clear extension data through Chrome's settings
• Disable specific features of the extension

Changes to This Policy
